There are a few options near the ground, despite its location being a bit far outside town! The main hub for home fans is Restaurant Schwarzwaldblick – not only does it serve some great tasting food, but the bar is stocked and the steins of beer are churned out almost non-stop!
There is a small kiosk near the ground as well that gets pretty popular on a game day. The Rothaus serves pints of beer at €3 each, though you will have to put a refundable Euro deposit on the glass itself!
Martin’s Bräu is a classic German Beerhall back in the city itself! It serves up some great beers so grab a table or a spot at the bar and enjoy yourself!
There are two places I have in mind where SC Freiburg fans meet before a match. However, these places don’t really represent bars per se, they rather resemble a club home or restaurant. Nevertheless, you will find numerous fans at the “Restaurant Schwarzwaldblick” on the opposite side of the street. Best place to meet locals and have a chat with any kinds of football fans. Another option is to check out “Dreisamblick” right next to the stadium which is a bit more like a restaurant, but also usually packed with fans.
There might not be a whole lot of bars around the Schwarzwald Stadion, but honestly they don’t need them. Rothaus are one of the major sponsors of SC Freiburg and on matchdays, the stadium is surrounded by vendors selling it to thirsty fans, so do what everyone else does and get yourself to the ground early doors to enjoy a few of Baden-Württemburg’s finest brew in the picturesque surrounds. Of course, the Altstadt in Freiburg is also packed with bars to enjoy once the game is over, so leave time for a post-match pint in the town.
