Big games are all the more special because of Celtics fans. Going to NBA Finals games and watching the Celtics and Lakers face-off is unforgettable for me. The energy in the building during those games is something that will never be matched. Not to forget Opening night in 2007 – the first game of the Pierce/Garnett/Allen era. The Celtics mopped the floor with the Wizards after Gilbert Arenas guaranteed a Washington victory. I’ve never seen a crowd so amped up to begin a season … probably because that season ended with a championship over the Lakers. Maybe my most special moment of all was actually a Celtics’ loss. When they dropped game 6 of the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals to the Heat, Celtics fans stood up and chanted “Let’s go Celtics!” for the at least the final five minutes of the game with the Celtics clearly headed to Miami for game 7.
